A holistic therapy to relax, rebalance and restore

Welcome to Silver Daisy Reflexology

I have always been interested in the body and its relationship with the mind and spirit. I believe that supporting the whole person can bring about positive change. Initially my career choices took me along a very different path and into Engineering. Many years and a corporate career later, I decided to follow my passion and trained as a reflexologist.

As a Reflexologist I treat holistically, working on the whole person to bring about an improved sense of wellbeing. This improves energy flow, reduces stress and tension and helps the body and mind achieve its own balance.

I have a particular interest in supporting people along their grief and bereavement journey, and have undertaken additional training in this area.

I am passionate about being able to make a difference to the wellbeing of the people I treat, and would love to do the same for you.

I am proud to be a Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists and abide by their Code of Practice and Ethics. I am also committed to undertaking Continuing Professional Development to maintain and develop my treatments and therapies.

Through the AOR, I am listed in the NHS listing directory which is used by the public and healthcare professionals to identify high quality professional practitioners.

Restoring your overall balance

Reflexology is a holistic non-invasive complementary therapy that works the feet, hands or face to bring about a state of deep relaxation and an enhanced sense of wellbeing. It is an ancient form of therapy, that has been practised for many thousands of years. Its origins date back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. In the 1930’s it was developed into the modern therapy that we use today.

Reflexology can be for all ages!

It is a safe, natural and holistic therapy that can help support the body during times of stress and ill health. The increased demands of living in the modern world bring with it a higher level of stress into our everyday lives. This can at times have a detrimental effect on our wellbeing, whatever our age. Reflexology can be used on children, teenagers and adults of all ages.

How does Reflexology work?

Reflexology is based on the theory that reflex points in the feet correspond to different organs or areas of the body. The therapist works these points to aid relaxation and bring about a positive change in wellbeing. Reflexology is a great way to step back from the fast pace of modern life, helping you to relax and restore calm into the body once more.

How can Reflexology help?

Working with someone holistically through the relaxation and calm state that reflexology promotes, can help them to better cope with an illness or problem. Reflexology can bring about an enhanced sense of wellbeing, which in turn improves their perception of self and relationship with the illness or problem.

Some frequently asked questions...

Initial consultation and treatment

I will start by taking some information about your lifestyle and medical history. I will also find out from you what you would like to achieve from your treatment sessions. From this information I will create an individual treatment plan tailored specifically for you.

Where will the treatment be held?

I currently work on a mobile basis and so the treatment will take place in your home. I offer treatments within a 10 mile radius of Moreton-in-Marsh, but please ask if you are further away as I may still be able to reach you.

I will bring everything with me that I need for the session, which will take place in a comfortable reclining chair and you will need to remove your shoes and socks.

What happens during a treatment?

During the treatment I will include some gentle foot massage for relaxation, as well as working through the specific reflex points. I have a variety of waxes and creams available, so that I can select the ones that suit you and your skin type best. Wherever possible I use natural and organic products, manufactured in small batches by British independent producers that are planet friendly.

Do you offer Hand Reflexology?

I usually work with the feet for my treatment sessions, but if this is not possible for you then I can do the treatment as a hand reflexology treatment instead. The process is much the same, except that you will be seated with your hands placed on a pillow for treatment.

How will I feel after the treatment?

Each person is totally unique and reactions to treatments vary. Some people feel noticeable changes after just a couple of treatments. Many people feel very relaxed and often sleep better, as they experience a feeling of improved mood and general wellbeing. Occasionally people may feel more tired than usual, or have a headache, or feel a little nauseous. This usually lasts for a short period of time and is a normal part of the treatment process.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed will depend on what you are hoping to get from your treatments. If there is a particular issue you would like to address, then weekly or fortnightly may be appropriate to start with. This can then be extended to a longer duration between treatments.
